Why do half of marriages fail? Because most don’t start like this!

I’m not real sure how I feel about marriage, but weddings? I’m all in, especially if they start like this.

So funny that Jamie just posted this. I was concurrently watching it on Julia Allison’s blog (don’t judge me) for the fourth time. How awesome. I would actually consider being a wedding photographer if people would do this shit all the time. Loves it.

Oh srsly. This is amazing. Generally I do not approve of marriage, or at least weddings. As my fav Mae West said, “Marriage is a great institution, but I’m not ready for an institution yet.” A lot of weddings seem like they’re just two people who have settled for each other, are decently happy with that decision and want to put on a show to prove their happiness to others. They’re not genuine.

This wedding is different though. I wish I was invited. This wedding was probably what all weddings should be, a celebration of two people who are so unapologetically in love with each other that they can’t wait to share every day of their lives together. Cynical as I might be, it’s nice to know that things like this exist.

It’s also nice because it confirms that I can most definitely have my wedding party do “Thriller” down the aisle, followed by a disco ball and “It’s Raining Men” playing when I walk down the aisle for sheer ironic purposes.
